The Lease Support Specialist is a new position to support the West Division Leasing Department located in San Diego, CA. The department manages ~400 leases across California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. We are looking for a highly motivated professional who is driven to excel, and able to manage and effectively prioritize a complex workload. Client has a Flexible Workplace Policy and remote candidates will be considered. This position comes with growth opportunities.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Perform reconciliations for leasing and operational expenses on a regular basis
Review and process invoices on a daily basis using proper coding
Communicate with landlords and other real estate contacts
Process new real estate leases and renewal documents (identifying various clauses - terms, rent, holdover penalty, renewal options, late fees, upfit, rent abatement, etc) & review internal paperwork to make entries in lease administration system (Vision) for new sites and renewals (including month-to-month arrangements).
Address and resolve any reconciliations related issues; escalate when necessary
Submit various types of leasing documentation in an accurate and timely manner
Maintain department mail & email account
Assist with financial reporting as needed
Requirements Section:
High school diploma or equivalent
Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance position
Prior experience performing financial reconciliations is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially, Excel
Experience working with PeopleSoft is a plus
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Strong multi-tasking skills
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
