Inventory and Supply Chain Analyst

Overview

Imperial Dade, leading national distributor, has a position open in Miami, FL. The Inventory and Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for compiling data and feedback to review tactical key performance measures and provide exception management reporting. The analyst will assist the fast-paced operations team in optimizing inbound inventory flow and will also work to coordinate and arrange for product movement between warehouses.  This task will involve daily communication between the purchasing team and the operations team to strategize the timing of when product is needed to be pulled into the warehouse locations.  The analyst will also work with purchasing to coordinate when and where direct inbound loads need to be routed amongst the facilities.

Responsibilities

• Leverage enterprise data to drive supply chain optimization projects
• Act as a liaison between the purchasing team and the operations team to drive the optimal flow of product.
• Develop and maintain analytical tools, reports, and ad hoc models to track key metrics.
• Develop a working knowledge of key supply chain concepts including material procurement strategy, inventory management, warehouse and distribution operations and ERP systems
• Extract, validate, manipulate, and summarize large datasets
• Perform ad-hoc analyses included but not limited to impact assessment of vendor cost changes, internal inventory transfers, vendor minimum order policies, vendor lead time changes.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills: Speaks and writes clearly and effectively.  Uses effective communication in order to initiate timely responses to inquiries
• Highly analytical with associated problem-solving skills. Able to work with large and diverse data sets and disseminate key gaps to achieve desired outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills: Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, prioritize and have a sense of urgency to follow up on open issues and drive toward closure
• Collaborative approach: Able to build effective relationships with our purchasing team, source suppliers, and other business partners
• Problem solving skills: Able to think quickly and use logic and business acumen to solve problems thoroughly and efficiently
• Innovative: Willing and able to use a creative or unconventional approach if the task calls for it.
• Computer literacy: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Lookups, data sourcing, formatting, pivots, nested if statements, etc.) and COGNOS.  Knowledge of Microsoft Power Query/Power BI and Access is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Information Technology, Math or Data Science
• Recent graduates and/or up to 3 years of Inventory/supply chain experience preferred
