Overview
Imperial Dade, leading national distributor, has a job open in Jersey City, NJ area. The Role of the Product Data Specialist, provides internal and external stakeholders with the required information needed to make, or recommend, a purchase decision. These details can include product features and attributes, descriptions, dimensions, price, weight, color and product images.
The role will ensure seamless communication and collaboration between Imperial Dade & our manufacturing partners.
You will leverage your expertise in Salsify PXM to facilitate the exchange of product information, assets, and updates, ultimately enhancing our product listings and e-commerce performance. This position requires a deep understanding of Salsify PXM and a passion for building and maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers.
As apart of the Imperial Dade’s Product Catalog team, the team is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies intended to promote the organization’s janitorial, sanitation, food service and industrial packaging digital product catalog.
The product catalog is used to provide internal and external stakeholders with the required information needed to make, or recommend, a purchase decision.

Responsibilities
- Onboard manufacturers onto the Salsify PXM platform, ensuring a smooth transition with comprehensive training.
- Manage product data, digital assets, and content within Salsify PXM, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all product records.
- Act as the primary point of contact between us and our manufacturers, facilitating effective communication, and information exchange.
- Provide manufacturers with training and support in using Salsify PXM to update and maintain product information, images, and specifications.
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure that product data and content meet industry standards and best practices.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to product data or content, between us and our manufacturers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, sales, digital, and IT, to ensure the success of our e-commerce initiatives.
- Generate and analyze reports on product performance and data quality, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information contained in large Excel spreadsheets.
- Performs granular data analysis to identify redundancies and opportunities to merge and normalize equivalently identical attributes and values within the product data catalog.
- Employ strong problem-solving skills with an owner mentality.
Qualifications
- 2 years of previous experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or product management is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Salsify PXM or similar product experience management platforms is required.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy is essential.
- Strong English language verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with Excel knowledge.
- Ability to consistently meet project deadlines.
