What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at Imperial Group Manufacturing?
Primary Job Function: Develops, applies, and maintains the quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
· Analytical Problem solving/Root Cause Analyses (RCCA, 5 Why, 4-Square, Waterfalls)
· Direct contact with customers/suppliers in problem-solving capacity.
· Assist production workers who are engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality issues
· Perform statistical analyses to verify process capabilities.
· Develop Process Control Plans.
· Supervise and develop, train and coach team members
· Hold subordinates accountable
· Build relationships with customers to resolve quality complaints timely
· Hold RCCA meetings
· Be able to work independently and team environment
· Facilitate Process FMEA Development, calibration and perform Gage R&R Studies
· Develop Inspection methods and work with Engineering to input them to Process Control Documents (PCDs).
· Thorough documentation of all activities in the QMS.
· Coordinates SPC data collection, reporting, and/or analysis as needed
· Coordinates Internal auditing team functions, scheduling, and execution
· Assist in 2nd Party subcontractor audits and corrective actions.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable customer, environment and safety requirements.
· Manage customer and internal metrics
· Manage KPIs
· Manage and report workloads and finished schedule adherence
· Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Job Qualifications (Preferred):
Specific Experience: Worked in manufacturing, IATF and an ISO 9001 Quality Management System
5 plus years supervisory
Formal Education: Bachelors of Science or work experience equivalent
Certifications: Six Sigma Training, APQP Training,
Skills: Knowledge of IATF16949 and auditor training preferred, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Physical Requirements of the Job:
· Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, computer screens, etc.
· Speech and hearing capacity appropriate for frequent person to person and phone based conversations and meetings.
· Able to move about weld and fabrication plant with walking and other manufacturing environment hazards.
PPE:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to be worn when on production floor: Hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toe work boots or shoes.
