Production Control Supervisor

Position:Imperial Machine & Tool Co. (“Imperial) is currently looking for a talented and experienced Production Control Supervisor who can monitor job status and production progress to meet delivery dates and expedite orders for on time delivery to maximize customer satisfaction.This positions is Full Time, Monday to Friday with some weekend mornings as required. Imperial prefers professional and career-minded candidates that are willing to learn and advance within the company.About the Position:The Production Control Supervisor is responsible for supervising Imperial’s shop employees to ensure production schedules are constantly running on time and delivery schedules to customers are met. This position helps to plan and assign work on the shop floor and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment and operating procedures while always maintaining on time delivery, customer satisfaction and a safe working environment. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations to machinists and then planning and monitoring job status. Monitor parts sent to offsite subcontractors (paint, plate, heat treat etc.) and confirm they are returned by requested date. Work closely with Quality Control Department to ensure production is accurate and meeting customer drawings and specifications. Work with Shipping Department to ensure completed orders are being packaged securely and shipped on time. Balance safety, quality, productivity, cost and overall employee morale to achieve positive results in all responsible areas. Job Qualifications and Requirements (Production Control Supervisor): High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus. Must have some prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility. Prior experience working with and understanding ERP/MRP. Must be neat & organized and capable of working in a fast pace environment. Familiarity with manufacturing safety procedures & practices Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods as required. Must be able to walk around shop floor to assess job status from each machine operator. Must be able to effectively use a computer and have basic proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience with production equipment or CNC machinery is considered a plus. Familiarity with CAD/CAM is considered a plus.
