Position Overview: Under limited supervision, manage daily aspects of the customer relationship while onsite within customer facility. Demonstrate exemplary service to each customer while helping them maintain optimum inventory. Work closely with cross-functional business partners to identify customer needs and deliver solutions. Reliable automotive transportation is a prerequisite to employment.
Responsibilities:
- Service multiple customer locations through scheduled visits working directly with customer contacts to develop and execute inventory stocking plan and approvals, continuous improvement opportunities, and problem resolution.
- Ensure proper product stocking levels at customer locations by scanning suggested orders as inventory is depleted. Receive, inspect, and put away ordered product in designated customer locations.
- Identify, organize, set-up and label Imperial product. Review stocking locations and recommend to customer opportunities for better organization to improve efficiency and workflow.
- Work in close partnership with Regional Sales Managers, Corporate Account Managers, Key Account Managers, and Dedicated Account Advisors in understanding the needs of each customer opportunity. Implement and provide ongoing support as new service offerings or programs develop.
- Evaluate customer inventory and review purchase history to recommend opportunities for SKU compression. Remove and/or reduce existing stock as agreed with the customer. Educate the customer on return and inventory balance procedures.
- Document standard operating procedure at customer locations to provide direction to back-up resources to ensure continuity of service.
- Comply with the safety, inspection, and security requirements of each facility where service is being provided.
- Communicate effectively with customers including confirmation of arrival time and pre-arranged absences or coverage plans. Inform Supervisor of schedule changes or delays.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent work experience. Mechanical experience in measuring and identifying product, minimum 2 years customer service experience; proven customer service skills.
