We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Director, Information Technology. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this individual will be responsible for the overall management of Imugene’s IT systems, data security and services.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Provide senior leadership and organizational oversight of IT services and infrastructure supporting both remote- and site-based employees and operations.
- Build and manage a high performing team of IT employees and contingent workers that establish strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders and customers.
- Build and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Establish and manage a company-wide cybersecurity program that safeguards Imugene’s systems and data while preserving operational agility.
- Develop and implement a short-term and long-term IT strategy for the company including an IT roadmap and a prioritized portfolio.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders, perform IT gap assessments on facility and system compliance with robust mitigation plans to ensure health authority inspection readiness.
- Effectively maintain IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, human resource and financial systems, laptops, desktops, software and hardware.
- Implement and support infrastructure systems to support scientific functions, while adhering to GxP compliance
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of professional work experience managing IT and facilities operations within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or relevant life sciences industry is required.
- A BS in a Computer Science or related discipline is preferred
- Experience building IT operations capabilities in a rapidly growing company where systems and processes need to be designed and implemented.
- Experience leading IT as a formal people manager including the management of consultants and contractors.
- Extensive experience leading large and highly complex IT projects at the cross-functional or enterprise-level, with a focus on Agile methodologies.
- Experience supporting IT integrations and cloud transformations in a corporate or other relevant business environment.
- Experience with evaluating, implementing, and managing a cyber security program and managing scientific data management platforms.
- Experience implementing technology procedures and policies to ensure regulatory compliance with 21 CFR Part 11.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and present complex subjects in a clear and concise manner is essential.
Travel Requirements:
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is expected to spend up to 15% of their time on travel to branch offices or training/conference related events.
Location:
- This is a full-time role based in the Raleigh-Durham NC area with the potential for a flexible work schedule.
Pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus and LTI may be available based on individual and Company performance.
