Job Description

In-Depth seeks individuals to serve as Radar Technicians in our Alaska site, supporting a new Missile Defense Radar. Substantial pay differential provided for short term intense effort. Other benefits include life insurance, health and disability insurance, reimbursed tuition, and paid travel to and from CONUS for dependents and partners. 

 

Radar Technician will receive training CONUS for several months and subsequently serve in Alaska for a period of 6 to 12 months, with opportunity for continued service in other OCONUS locations (e.g. Hawaii, Romania, Poland) as well as other CONUS locations. 

 

Radar Technician will operate, install, calibrate, and maintain integrated computer and communications systems, consoles, simulators, and other data acquisition, test and measurement instruments and equipment. 

 

Radar Technician will support engineers in recording/interpreting and implementing test procedures and results. Radar Technician will be responsible to support the operation and maintenance of the Radar system to execute Initial Light OFF, Computer program load and check out, Intra/Sub-system test, System Test, Acceptance Testing and Special Testing.

 

Specifically, Radar Technician will:

 

  • Support validation of end-item ATPs and equipment, including Special Inspection Equipment (SIE), Special Test Equipment (STE), Support and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)
  • Perform analysis to evaluate, document, troubleshoot, and correct Radar anomalies found during testing.
  • Ensure operational readiness to aid in the execution of the Operation Verification Tests identified within Acceptance Testing.
  • Identify required data, data acquisition plans and test parameters, setting up equipment to conform to these specifications.
  • Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and operate test setups and equipment to detect malfunctions.
  • Record and interpret test data on parts, assemblies, and mechanisms.
  • Adjust, repair or replace faulty components of test setups, equipment, copper and FO cables.
  • Operate and calibrate computer systems and devices to comply with test requirements and to perform data acquisition and analysis.
  • Ensure operational readiness to aid in the execution of Integration & Test Activities.
  • Knowledge of network test equipment used to evaluate and correct operational failures

Qualifications


  • Must Be a US Citizen
  • Candidates must have at least an active DOD security clearance at secret level
  • Data Analysis capability including familiarity with Matlab, C++ and Unix
