Job description
SUMMARY:
Versed in PLC programming.
Manage new equipment installations and startups.
Design, install, and start equipment modifications.
Negotiate prices and purchase equipment and services as needed.
Provides engineering duties as assigned by the Plant Manager and/or Operations Director.
Responsible for overseeing new equipment installations as well as modifications of existing equipment as necessary for the advancement of productivity within the manufacturing confines of the plant.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems that affect the productivity of the manufacturing group.
Be involved with process improvements providing input in production problem solving.
Manage the maintenance department providing guidance, instruction, and admonishment.
