Enterprise Data Architect

INADEV is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect with extensive experience in Data Modeling to support Data Management and Governance, and to promote quality and consistent data across the organization by aiding in the planning and development of information systems.  

Maryland/Virginia/DC candidates only.
Must be able to obtain Federal Public Trust Clearance.

Key required skills: Erwin Data Modeler Workgroup Edition - Release 2020 R1 SP1; creating Logical Physical data models diagram in relation to business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Highly skilled, senior-level data modeling experience.
• Extensive knowledge and background skills on Erwin Data Modeler Workgroup Edition - Release 2020 R1 SP1.
• Experience on creating Logical & Physical data models diagram and relating them to business requirements
• Experience of identifying critical problems during the data analysis, and data modeling phases
• Thorough background and understanding the differences between Logical versus Physical data models
• Background and understanding of different database, e.g., DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.,
• Presentation of both the visual and textual reporting products or data model design to product owner, SMEs, and EDAs
• Agility, adaptability, collaboration and teamwork/team player to be able to support and work across different project in Agile environment
• Microsoft Office products required
• Strong organizational and time budgeting skills
• Experience in identifying and applying Naming Standards to a data model
• Data analysis and mapping skills
• Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle using Agile methodology
• Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task while providing appropriate support/tasks as assigned

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with SQL queries against relational databases
• Exposure to DB2 and PostgreSQL
• Exposure to MongoDB and NoSQL
• Some exposure to hierarchical databases such as IDMS
• Complex query-based reporting using the erwin tool
• Comfortable with a hybrid remote / onsite work environment
• Very solid reporting writing skills and attitude
• Writing sample may be requested.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a small team environment
• Comfortable with sharing erwin expertise and mentoring team members if required

Education:

• Master's degree and 5 years of experience in a training-related field or Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience in a training-related field
