Inari Medical is a commercial-stage medical device company focused on developing products to treat and transform the lives of patients suffering from venous diseases. Our initial product offering consists of two minimally invasive, novel catheter-based mechanical thrombectomy devices.
The Director, Business Analytics & Insights works independently within the Commercial Strategy & Operations team, with the primary responsibility to manage global insights across commercial and enterprise teams, through analytics, forecasting, demand planning, market intelligence, and modeling.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve key forecast models, demand plans, and market models.
- Act with a compliance mindset and comply with all laws, regulations, and policies.
- Engage in predictive, forward-looking analytics that will drive forecasting and other insights.
- Drive major change initiatives, asking the tough questions and looking for answers.
- Develop solutions, operationalize, and deliver insights to influence and inform strategic decisions.
- Lead primary and secondary market research to distill and translate into insights, implications, and solutions.
- Manage timelines and resources to ensure effective work allocation and workload balancing as well as talent development.
- Serve as expert in deploying creative solutions across key markets/disease states, business analytics, and insights capabilities.
- Build and lead a cross-capability collaborative team and empower a resilient, diverse, and integrated team to deliver high-impact results.
- Serve as liaison between sales, marketing, market access, medical affairs, IT, clinical operations, strategy, and the executive team to identify challenges.
- Lead a culture of data-driven, decision-making across marketing, sales, operations, customer experience, forecasting, market research, and across the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- Master of Business Administration or advanced degree in Mathematical/Analytical Sciences.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Experience in developing and evolving business/market insights and analytics teams and capabilities; building teams from the ground-up.
- Excellent business acumen to put analytics in the appropriate context while identifying key metrics that measure and drive long term growth.
- SQL and BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, etc.
- Technical expertise on systems, BI infrastructure, tech & reporting stack.
- R, Python, SAS or similar data languages, statistical and advanced analytics tools.
- Statistical modeling techniques: GLM multiple regression, logistic regression, log-linear regression, variable selection, etc.
- Data mining and pre-processing principles, collecting data from multiple data systems, classification, mapping, and structuring/staging.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
- Strong leadership, time management, people, and organizational skills.
- Advanced/expert level Excel skills with ability to create and automate dynamic models.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, innovative, problem solver, with a can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills with demonstrated ability with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation skills and executive presence to speak with senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and the broader organization to inspire and influence.
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum 10 years in forecasting, business insights, market modeling, analytics, data science, and/or competitive insights; management consulting.
- Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $160,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
