Inclusively is partnering with a chemicals and materials company to hire a Shipping Receiving Technician.

What we’re looking for

· Education: High School Diploma or GED required

· Experience: 2 years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service, spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know a plus, cross referencing and inside sales experience a plus, knowledge of scientific products and services a plus

· Collaboration Tool: Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel

· Preferred Qualifications:

  • Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances.
  • Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can do attitude.
  • High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate; forward thinking.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of scientific products and services a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both the customer and internal contacts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Travel may be required on site from building to building.

How you will thrive and create an impact

Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

  • Assist with prepping packages for outgoing shuttles (finding appropriate shipping containers, bubble wrap, pig mat, organizing documents, etc).
  • Keep dock shipping table stocked (2 sample bag sizes, 8.5x12 bags, pig mats, bubble wrap, temptales [2~ 8C, -20 ~ -70C], packing tape, tape dispensers, dry ice scoops, nitro gloves, writing utensils [pens, cyro pens, sharpies, pencils], dry ice pickup stickers, dry ice placards, UN2845 placards, UN3373 placards, Amb. Placards, ISP wipes, disposable gloves), TCLs (Transportation Check-list).
  • Ensure dock area is always clear as possible, keep items out of safety tape areas (electrical panels); (ensure items are moved out of dock area after 5 days).
  • Ensure doors (dock and regular doorframes) are secured/locked when not in use.
  • Receive any incoming shipments upon arrival on-site (various Fed-Ex, UPS, 3rd party vendor shipping (save and document laden once signed and accepted delivery), check at least once an hour for package delivery on dock area.
  • Ensure temperature sensitive packages are properly stored upon receipt/maintain temp [add cold packs, top off with dry ice] until received by intended recipients (correct freezer, cold-room, refrigerator).
  • Determine correct recipients of incoming packages, contact to inform about package, designate into correct allocation.
  • Contact appropriate recipients (researcher, scientists, etc.) as needed to ensure allocation of product, confirm drop-off location with recipient with photo emailed upon completion of drop-off.
  • Assist with wasting out dry ice as perishable packages are picked up (when handling, don’t forget your wonderful PPE: nitrile gloves, safety glasses) using buckets for excess dry ice when washing out.
