Reporting to the Chief Curator, the Archivist will be responsible for the archival management of the Independence Seaport Museum (ISM) archives housed in the J. Wells Henderson Research Center. The Archivist will focus their primary activity on the corporate/business holdings, which are a substantial part of the ISM holdings. Secondarily, the Archivist will work on other archival holdings at the ISM. The Archivist will arrange and describe the collections including writing finding aids for the collection. They will serve as the primary point of contact for researchers seeking to use the collections. The Archivist also will be called upon to engage in or supervise others in the digitalization of documents within the collection.
