About the Job:
Reporting to the Private Banking Group Manager, this position is responsible for generating new personal banking relationships for qualified, high-net worth customers throughout our footprint in Macomb & southeast Michigan. The primary focus of the Private Banking Officer will be on growing a deposit and consumer lending portfolio, and cross-selling other bank products and services.

What You Will Do:
- Generate new banking relationships with high net-worth clients from external contacts and business partner referrals.
- Serve as primary point of contact for all personal banking needs of the Private Bank clients.
- Work closely with business partners (i.e. Commercial lenders, Mortgage lenders and Wealth Management Advisors, etc.) to acquire and develop personal banking relationships of business owners and other professionals (physicians, attorneys, accountants, etc.).
- Functions as the client’s personal advocate to internal partners and works to identify client needs, analyze client information, define goals and build plans in order to make recommendations to the clients.
- Provide an exceptional level of service, including periodic in-person meetings to review banking relationships.
- Responsible for compliance with the Bank’s Loan Policy, as periodically updated.
- Cross-sells other bank products and services, including commercial banking, treasury management, deposits, investments, retail banking and mortgages.
- Represents the bank at various community events throughout the region.
- Seek leadership role on board of community organizations.
- Develop and maintain a network of professional clients.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree with related business major preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of client facing sales and relationship management experience with demonstrated ability to grow revenue and deliver satisfied clients.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to cross-sell banking products and services.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships with a sophisticated client base and establish a high level of trust with those clients.
- Excellent analytical and decision making skills.
- Display sound judgement.
- Personal computer and other office technology skills
- Knowledge of Wealth Management products and services
- Business and technical expertise are necessary to conduct needs based assessment, planning and analysis.
