About The Job:

As the Regional Banking Manager you will oversee our retail banking offices and functions in the Greater-Lansing market. Your primary duties will be to grow and develop the bank branches and ensure a consistent delivery of services to bank clients by managing and monitoring client interactions, as well as partnering with other business units to recommend solutions that meet their financial needs. Most importantly, this position will communicate the Independent Bank brand and culture through the staff they are leading in the following retail branches:

• Bellevue
• Charlotte
• East Lansing
• Eaton Rapids
• Leslie
• Mason
• Okemos
• Pleasant Lake
• Portland
• Williamston

What You Will Do:

• Lead a team of banking offices by observing and coaching team and individual performance to collectively achieve goals and objectives and establishing action plans as necessary.
• Meets with business and community leaders to grow and develop the Independent Bank brand in the markets they serve.
• Effectively utilizes Independent Bank products and services to meet the financial needs of clients in their community.
• Gain an in-depth knowledge of clients’ financial life priorities and connect them with Independent Bank strategic partners in order to build trust and offer the best financial solutions small business, mortgage, commercial, treasury management and other bank services.
• Will be subject matter expert for market area of Independent Bank products and services, as well as be able to communicate goals and activities and coach their teams to achieve those goals.
• Ensure day-to-day activities at their offices comply with compliance and risk standards by observing and coaching teammates in customer service, operations, transaction accuracy and client engagement.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree or 7 years of banking experience.
• Knowledge and ability to adhere to all applicable regulatory compliance and personnel policies in the fulfillment of the specific duties of the position, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Confidentiality, Information Security, and Ethical Standards. Completes all online compliance and regulatory courses.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• Collaborates effectively to complete objectives while building strong employee and client relationships.
• Deep knowledge of financial products and solutions.
• Ability to interpret performance results, discover opportunities to drive success and hold others accountable to those results.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
