What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Pipeline Developer position at INDG?
As our Senior Pipeline Developer you will work in close connection with the rest of the highly skilled 3D Artists we have got in-house. Your job is to enhance the workflows, video pipelines and CGI processes. Automation is what you preach, and you aren’t shy for developing code to do so. Surely, a breathtaking visual result is the number one goal for all your process improvements. Your knowledge of software development, scripting and industry standard tooling is in-depth.
You know everything there is to know about rendering with industry standard engines for stills as well as for animations. Our ideal candidate is experienced with software development, scripting and thinks of driving efficiency through automation, is always curious about anything 3D-related, has got an open and helpful character and knows how to get things done.

What will you be doing?
- Develop and maintain pipeline core frameworks and services.
- Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams to understand and implement pipeline solutions.
- Assist in migrating asset production towards an OpenUSD-centric pipeline.
- Maintain internal documentation, provide technical support, and mentorship.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve existing solutions.
Would be amazing if you have:
- 5 years’ experience as a Pipeline Technical Director/Engineer or similar development role
- Solid understanding of CG Pipelines
- Ambitious and autonomous, eager to explore new technologies
- Extensive programming experience in Python and its ecosystem, including knowledge of software development methodologies and practices, testing, refactoring, analysis and design, pair programming, etc.
- Understanding of software stacks that span from client tools to backend services
- Fluent in the usage of version control systems (preferably git)
- Knowledge of databases and production management systems (Ftrack, Shotgrid, etc)
- Proficiency working with and developing for linux and windows operating systems
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience with OpenUSD is big plus
- Experience with 3DsMax is a big plus
- Experience in working or developing with node-based software such as Houdini, Katana, Gaffer, Blender, Nuke
- Understanding of Physically Based Rendering and experience of open standards such as MaterialX and OpenPBR
- Hands-on experience with Render Engines such as VRay, Arnold or RTX
- Experience working with distributed scheduling systems such as Tractor or Deadline
- Experience with other languages such as C/C or C#
- Experience with deployment systems, CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience with container technologies and orchestration, preferably Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge in developing for realtime engines such as Omniverse
