Type: Tribal Salary Range: $ 45,000 - $ 65,000 / Per Year Open Period: 12/30/2014 to 1/30/2015 Summary: Alamo Navajo School Board, Inc.; Alamo, New Mexico Alamo Navajo School Board, Inc., Health Division is seeking health practitioners to come work with their dedicated staff on the Alamo Navajo Reservation. Our clinic is located 140 miles southwest of Albuquerque and sixty miles west of Socorro. We have a multiservice community health center that include medical, dental, onsite pharmacy and lab, optometry, mental health, emergency medical, aftercare and community health education services. One focus is on Diabetes awareness and prevention of the disease which affects one in every five people in Alamo. In support of the effort, the Health Division in collaboration with the Board and Administration constructed a Community Wellness Center. The facility has a full-size gymnasium, aerobic and weight rooms, classrooms, kitchen, game room, day care, and an outdoor fitness path. The Alamo Navajo Health Services Division of the Alamo Navajo School Board, Inc., is funded through a P.L. 93-638 Indian Self-Determination Contract with the Indian Health Service, DHHS. ALAMO NAVAJO HEALTH CENTER The clinic services fall into six broad categories: Primary Care, Dental, Community Health, Behavioral Health, Emergency Medical Services, and Administrative. Below is a brief description of the services available in each category: PRIMARY CARE SERVICES: Outpatient visits for diagnosis and treatment, or referral Immunizations Womens Health Family Planning Post-partum follow-up care and transportation to Socorro General Hospital for delivery Well baby examinations and care Childrens examinations, treatment and referrals Infectious disease follow-up Pediatric clinic temporarily vacant Internal Medicine one day/month Optometry/Vision Clinic one day/week Audiology/Hearing Clinic one day/month Podiatry Clinic two days/month Diabetes Clinic three days/week Chronic Illness care tuberculosis, high blood pressure, and other long term illnesses and conditions Physicals for sports, employee wellness program, Headstart and Early Childhood Pharmacy, laboratory and x-ray services Duties: Oversee patient flow in an effective, efficient and timely manner from medical reception through screening, to the medical providers, to lab, to other indicated patient stops, to pharmacy, and out; to supervise Medical Records and screening activities and provide other nursing support as indicated to assure quality and timely clinical care to patients Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: 1. Bachelor or Master of Science in nursing with a Clinical Nursing component; current licensure as an RN in any state required; RN in the State of New Mexico preferred. 2. Proven experience in a nursing position in a clinical setting with supervisory responsibilities; experience in an outpatient/ambulatory care facility with children and adults preferred. 3. Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support preferred; required within first year of employment. 4. Knowledge of triage, ability to facilitate positive patient flow, ability to administer immunizations and other injections, ability to audit and organize patient records required. 5. Navajo language ability preferred; experience in Indian health programs preferred Salary/Pay Range: Bachelor degree is placed at Grade N on the ANSB General Salary Scale; Master degree is placed at Grade P.
