Description
Responsibilities:
Providing actuarial support on projects and in the development of new products.
Gathering and compiling information from available sources, ensuring that all information and data is complete and accurate.
Calculating, summarizing, validating, and reviewing financial reports to be used in the companies' statutory and tax income statements.
Preparing special illustrations for Marketing utilizing reports, graphs, and charts to help demonstrate analyses completed.
Assist in policyholder tax compliance, system development, and product testing.
Provide support for special reinsurance projects.
Requirements for Success:
Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent, with a preference for college-related education.
At least one year of work experience in a mathematical or similar field.
Mathematical aptitude to perform complex numerical computations.
Willingness to develop a thorough understanding of United Farm Bureau Family Life Insurance contracts.
Ability to display proactive, reliable, and self-starter motivation to work independently without direct supervision
Proficient use of a calculator, personal computer, and associated software such as databases, spreadsheets, word processors, and presentation software.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, set priorities, and exercise initiative to develop judgments.
Possess an eye for detail and strong communication skills.
