The Introduction:
The Regional Account Manager is responsible for the sale of the organization's products in a specified region or major geographical area. The Regional Account Manager will market the full line of Supply Source Enterprise products and services to current customers and non-customers. This position will be concerned with short term sales activity within an account as well as developing and implementing a longer-term strategy to ensure SSE will retain the account and continue to obtain future business. Keeps informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers. Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining business.

The Position:
This role will be located in the West region
This position will require travel up to 60% of the time.
Here are some of the main job duties in this role:
- Achieve sales targets for new business sales and renewals
- Work with the Regional Sales Director to develop and execute product line sales, pricing, program, and promotion strategies to meet division sales and profit objectives.
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative (agency rep) with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Market full line of products, services, and supplies in a designated territory
- Provide existing account coverage and development of new accounts.
- Develop appropriate strategies (short & long term) to suit business needs and requirements of customers and non-customers.
- Generate and maintain a credible forecast for accounts and territories and provide this information on a regular basis to Senior Management.
- Develop and implement a strategy for customer field visits and contacts within planned sales and marketing campaigns
- Research customer needs and develop application of products in an effective manner by, determining market strategies & goals for each product, researching, and developing lists of potential customers, following up on sales leads and developing leads
- Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends, establishing & maintaining industry contacts that lead to sales.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner by developing sales and marketing proposals for customers, making presentations to customers.
- Create detailed sales forecasting, new item and/or new business development initiatives, budgets for support program(s) spending.
- Trade Show, Convention, Etc. Attendance and Representation – prepare for, attend, and represent SSE business interests at national distributor customer and buying group trade shows, conventions, seminars, and/or related functions.
- Required to live in geographic region
- Travel 60% for Regional Account Manager
Here are some of the expectations we would require of you:
Qualifications/Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required. For internal SSE Inc., candidates, in lieu of degree, must possess 5 years' sales experience within The Safety Zone and or Impact Products.
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience in Sales and Sales support roles.
- Must be familiar with the industry’s dynamics including sales cycle timing, customer portfolio management, pricing sensitivities, and an end-to-end vision/understanding of the value-chain of our business.
- JanSan, Safety/PPE industry experience strongly preferred.
- Direct support of new and existing relationships with both customers and suppliers is a must.
- Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Excellent oral communication skills. Professional phone etiquette. Ability to work with little supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong service attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure customer needs are effectively met.
