Job Summary : We are seeking an On-Site Safety Coordinator who will be responsible for ensuring that safety protocols and regulations are adhered to at the Microsoft Data Center Site.
The primary role is to promote and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel involved in the construction project.
The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate and work with the General Contractor’s Project Site Safety Coordinator.
The safety coordinator will play a crucial on-site, hands-on role in promoting a culture of safety and minimizing the risk of accidents and injuries on the construction site.

Objectives of this role :
- Complete the daily job hazard analysis form
- Communicate regularly with supervisor and workers to address safety concerns, provide updates on safety initiatives, and promote a culture of safety on the job site
- Assist in designing and executing a tailored crane lifting plan customized for the company's unique cranes and designated work zones
- Stay informed, implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as general contractor and owner policies and procedures
- Assist in responding to accidents, injuries, and near misses promptly. Investigate incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Assist on recommending measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials
- Enforcing all proper PPE is being worn and used by onsite employees
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and safety training sessions
- Help to train onsite employees regarding health or safety issues
- Attend daily on-site safety meetings led by the General Contractor
Required skills and qualifications :
- 2-3 Years of relevant experience; focus on industrial construction setting
- OSHA 30 construction industry certification
- Understanding of local, state, and federal safety regulations relevant to the construction industry, such as OSHA standards
- Familiarity with construction equipment, machinery, and tools, as well as an understanding of their potential safety hazards and proper usage
- Strong understanding of OSHA policies; confined space, fall protection, hazard communication, cranes and derricks in construction, and personal protective equipment certifications
- Ability to identify potential hazards and assess risks associated with construction activities, equipment, and work environments
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate safety guidelines, conduct training sessions, and facilitate discussions with project managers, supervisors, and workers
- Strong attention to detail to conduct thorough safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and ensure that safety protocols are followed meticulously
- Experience in conducting safety training sessions and developing educational materials to ensure that workers are adequately trained in safety procedures and protocols
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and other safety-related documentation
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, new safety regulations, and evolving project requirements while maintaining a focus on safety
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally
