What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at Industrial Electric?
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, including report writing and documentation.
- Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and safe work practices.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to workplace safety.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety & health (Plus)
- OSHA 30 Required-
- OSHA 510 Required - OSHA 500 (Preferred)
- First Aid CPR AED
- NFPA70E - Electrical Safety (Preferred)
- 5yrs Experience in Construction Safety/ Pharmaceutical or related Fields
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and delivering safety training.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
