Job Summary:
Responsible for performing a variety of Accounting duties in the Corporate Accounting Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handles month end trial balance reconciliations
- Prepares 401K reconciliation in coordination with Human Resources each week
- Books daily cash and reconciles the bank statements each month
- Handles union dues and benefits reporting
- Assists in filing monthly, quarterly, and yearly taxes and reports.
- Provides support in preparing material for audits for both DCAA and external auditors.
- Assists in year-end incurred cost submissions and indirect rate calculators.
- Performs various financial analysis and reporting activities.
- Assists with documenting accounting policies and procedures.
- Backs-up other accounting positions as needed
- Does preliminary review of Accounts Payable coding and vouchers.
Educational/Training Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field.
- 10 years' experience in Accounting with an emphasis in government contracting
- Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must possess good analytical skills.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask is critical
- Must have at least five year supervisory experience.
- Good computer skills, i.e., Word, Excel. etc.
- Good oral and written communication skills required.
- Data Gathering, Analysis, Corrective Actions, and Reporting.
