Who You Are
As a Nursery Grower you are working in one of our hydroponic nurseries inside one of our Infarm Plant Hubs, where we produce plants for the distribution in our instore locations. You ensure that the environment enables healthy growth, know every variety in detail and ensure smooth processes. You don’t mind working on clearly defined and at times repetitive tasks. Moreover, having high attention to detail and being well organised are among your strongest skills.
This is a part-time, working student position (20 hours per week).
Working days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the monitoring of the germination process and detect deficiencies, diseases and under-performance
- Select and prepare the correct and best-performing seedlings for packing and planting in our production farms or for transportation to our instore farms
- Maintain the nursery by cleaning the irrigation system and trays, discarding old or under-performing seedlings
- Ensure that hygienic, safety and health standards are met at all times
Requirements
- Valid working visa
- Working knowledge of German or English
- Strong attention to detail and a good eye and caring for cleanliness
- Confident and comfortable working alone as well as part of a team
- Prepared to perform manual and repetitive tasks and processes
- Work experience in horticulture and food manufacturing is a plus.
