The i-Health Laboratory Services Technical Specialist is responsible for the technical oversight of laboratory testing validations, quality control, daily workflows, testing results, equipment management and LIS implementation. We are seeking a motivated and positive laboratorian who works well independently and, in a team, setting. This individual must also demonstrate excellent trouble shooting skills, clinical laboratory expertise and possess the qualities needed to build a positive work environment and organizational culture.

This is a day shift position. No weekends or holiday hours.
Essential Functions:
- Oversight of the technical operations and workflows.
- Test menu selection and validations.
- Quality control and assurance.
- Utilize lean concepts to determine operational workflows.
- Perform testing and review results.
- Primary trainer for all employees.
- Equipment maintenance and inventory management.
- LIS technical expert for test menu, resulting and instrument connectivity.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development of a Quality Management System.
- Establish professional relationships with vendors, clinical staff, clients and key stakeholders.
- Have a clear understanding and working knowledge of CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, biology or related field.
- A current certification as a Medical Technologist by ASCP or equivalent professional organization. Preferred Generalist.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high complex clinical testing laboratory. Prefer 8 years or more.
- Experience in Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology and Molecular Diagnostics testing preferred.
