What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Superintendent position at Infinitek?
Join our clients Maintenance team at their wood products facility.
Duties:
Oversee all equipment maintenance and repair activities, making critical decisions on schedules, prioritizing repairs, managing overtime, and addressing staffing needs. Ensure minimal equipment downtime by working closely with employees to resolve technical issues and performing maintenance tasks when necessary.
Lead and develop both salaried and hourly Maintenance staff for optimal effectiveness. Manage projects, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
Take charge of procurement, ordering parts, equipment, and tools, while also coordinating with external services as needed. Design or modify equipment to meet production needs, collaborating with internal teams and outside contractors.
Champion the use of CMMS across the site, collaborating with the Maintenance Planner to ensure its effectiveness.
Address environmental affairs, meeting air and water quality standards, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with permit requirements. Maintain functional fire systems at all times.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in production management, engineering, or a technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience, preferably in wood products or manufacturing.
- Knowledge and practical experience managing industrial electrical systems preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and design equipment.
