Title: SQL/SSIS Database Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ
As a member of our client's Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
6 years of experience working in a Relational Database Development (MS SQL Server, Oracle or equivalent).
4 years of experience in writing and interpreting complex SQL queries.
4 years of experience in: ETL Development Tools (SQL Server Integration Services or equivalent).
4 years professional experience writing software using C#
2 years of industry experience in Micro-services with .Net Core on AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, C#
Knowledge of database design techniques and experience on working with extremely large data volumes is a plus
Experience with common development tools such bit bucket, jira and agile development methodologies.
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals.
Experience with full application development lifecycle (analysis, design, development, testing and deployment)
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Ability to interact eloquently with technology and business partners.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have: Concepts of maintaining a data warehouse, database monitoring, query optimization techniques and best practices.
Nice to have: Hands on DevOps work using scripting on powershell or other CLI (aws cli or basic python)
Nice to have: Experience in AWS Cloud Development.
Nice to have: Experience in Reporting Tools (Tableau or equivalent)
