Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the stable operation of the computer networks. This included planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
- Analyze and resolve end user network issues in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Provide end user training where required and/or other technician training.
- Ensure that necessary system patching and backups are performed, including storage rotation of backups is accomplished.
- Monitor and maintain records of system performance and anticipate requirements for system expansion.
- Assist MDSP staff monitor and comply with State data security requirements.
- Coordinate with management and stakeholders on installation and repair of equipment, user training, and network management.
- Develop and execute regular reports as requested and required.
- After-hours support as needed.
Education:
- An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field, or two (2) years of college or university study in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
Certifications:
- MCSE, CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certifications.
- Experience as a Google IT Support Professional.
- Professional experience with the below technologies:
- Cisco Routers/Switches
- Firewalls
- Veeam
- NETAPP
