Job Description:

Brief Description of Job Duties:

• This position serves as a senior development lead and expert technical consultant for multiple business programs implementing and maintaining mission critical agency information systems using a wide degree of technologies: C#/.NET, SQL Server, and web services.
• This position provides support by working in partnership with business staff, business analysts, testers, developers, and other IT support staff to resolve the most complex technical challenges involved with meeting the agency’s information technology (IT) objectives. Primary duties involve working as a senior application development team leader to identify solutions for complex technical problems in the following highly specialized IT areas: data analysis, application design,and software programming.
• The position will lead and/or perform the work assigned to the development team by providing guidance, technical expertise, research, and ‘hand-on’ development.
• As a team leader, this position will be expected to mentor and assist others as well as perform the actual tasks and activities required to successfully complete team assignments. Assignments will be in terms of expected results and are subject to review by supervisors.

Roles AndResponsibilities:

Skills required:

• Work experience developing and maintaining applications using Microsoft Visual Studio (VB and/or C#), C#, .NET, .Net Core, Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and work experience in an Information Technology data processing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar relational database.
• Experience at leading others in medium to large ( > 6 months of effort) applications programming, systems analysis and design work efforts.
• Experience working with web services using XML and/or JSON.
• Knowledge and ability to utilize the current version of the following products:

.net (C# or VB)
Microsoft SQL Server
Microsoft Visual Studio

Experience required: Minimum five to ten years' work experience at an advanced level in programming, system/program analysis and systems/database design.

Education required:
A specific educational background is not as important as actual experience in supporting, maintaining, and building applications utilizing C#/.NET development.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $42.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
