JOB TITLE: Manager, Data Science
LOCATION: 14555 Dallas Pkwy, Suite 200, Dallas, TX 75254
DUTIES: Position will design, develop, and enhance predictive models within the Talent Science product line and Infor CES Operations in both Python and Java; charged with hiring, training/developing, and leading the team to execute the technical design, implementation, and/or enhancement of new science-based or analytical applications, predictive models, and data-driven insights/reports resulting in efficiency/value creation for Infor; design, develop, and enhance science-based web applications using Python, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST Web Services, Struts, Spring Boot, Linux, Microservices, IntelliJ, Django, and PyCharm; manage our cloud-based infrastructure including development, test, and production environments; manage web servers (LAMP), databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Putty, pgAdmin), Git repos (GitHub), and working with the DevOps team to manage AWS instances; manipulate data using SQL as part of data analysis for stakeholders; create conceptual designs for planned databases and refine the physical design of databases to meet system storage requirements ensuring consistency, functionality, and usability across the systems; support the development and implementation of new software by developing requirements, technical specification documents, and planning, tracking, managing development projects (JIRA); collaborate with multiple teams/departments within the organization to implement innovative prototypes for potential products/tools; proactively generate relevant ideas for new and improved use of technology; demonstrate a big picture and team-oriented approach to application development; adapt quickly to changing requirements, deadlines, priorities, and technologies; communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences; and, serve as a technical and scientific resource for a multidisciplinary department. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field; and five (5) years of progressive related post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will consider a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field; and three (3) years of work experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation. Candidate must have three (3) years of post-baccalaureate experience involving each of the following:
* Directly and indirectly manage team members to achieve group performance goals;
* Manage technical development projects with cross-functional non/technical stakeholders;
* Design, develop, and enhance web applications for internal or external use;
* Manage a cloud-based infrastructure with development, test, and production environments;
- Experience with Java and Python languages;
- Experience with MySQL, Cassandra, and PostgreSQL databases;
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST Web Services, Struts, Spring Boot, Linux, Microservices Web Technologies;
- Experience with IntelliJ, Django, PyCharm, JIRA, GitHub, Putty, AWS, and pgAdmin Tools & IDE; and,
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI, and MS Excel ETL Visualization & Reporting.
