Global Support is Informa's sixth division, with major hubs in the United Kingdom, United States, Hong Kong and Singapore as well as several smaller locations. As the team behind the teams, Global Support colleagues provide shared, efficient business services and function-specific expertise to each of Informa's operating divisions, enabling our commercial teams to focus on their markets and customers.
This position is for a full-time travel assistant who possesses strong administrative skills. Position will be responsible for assisting and supporting our internal colleagues with complex or group business travel bookings and ensuring the Travel Team operate effectively and successfully with this new role.
The successful applicant must be motivated, have a solid work ethic, business travel booking experience, a strong knowledge of the travel industry, ability to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail and to building excellent rapport with stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Role
- Provide highest level of customer service and care to stakeholders in assisting with their travel booking needs and meeting their requirements.
- Respond to all communications and correspond proactively, promptly, efficiently, and accurately
- Handle all bookings within the given timeframe and communicate with members of the team to ensure thorough understanding of given tasks
- Working with required budgets and ensuring bookings are within the prescribed costs.
- Research and compare available travel and hotel accommodations to identify the best available option for each travel need.
- Advise travellers of and assist with any need for specialized travel documents such as visas or passports.
- Report and investigate errors or traveller complaints to seek satisfactory resolution working with our global TMC and partners.
- Build professional relationship with key stakeholders and understanding their needs.
- Report to department on the status of ongoing projects.
- Complete other general administrative tasks and perform other duties as assigned.
- 1 year of administrative support experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of the travel industry.
- Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to assess multiple options and to identify the best choice to serve a specified goal.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain rapport with a variety of stakeholders.
- Travel booking experience not required. Training is available.
Additional Information
- The salary for this role is $40,000 - $50,000 depending on experience
