Job DescriptionReporting to the Director, Events in theInforma Tech Automotive Group, your rolewill be responsible for creating events and content that resonates with our audience, building our engagement around different automotive trends and driving traffic to our in-person events and digital content.
You will produce in-person and online events, online content, and other engagement pieces that get to the heart of our industry, showcasing innovation and inspiration to our audience.
Informa Tech is a leader in the industry delivering products on a global platform with events based across the world. With the evolution of Informa Tech's markets, it is essential that Content Producers in events are hungry to drive new initiatives and changes, both internally and externally.
Role Details
- Content and agenda development, design, and execution, across events, online content, and community activities
- Audience engagement and research
- Stakeholder relationship building
- Strategic planning
- New product development
This means that they are expected to deliver event audience engagement and growth through:
- The research and development of high-quality virtual and live event content and experiences
- Putting the audience at the front of content and product development decisions
- Actively contributing to the wider content creation process across events, intelligence, and editorial to ensure maximum engagement with high-quality and relevant audience members
- Working with VIP, Content Production, Marketing, Intelligence, and Sales to facilitate internal communication and following best practice for content and event creation
- The development of strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders
- The building of strategic relationships with the Informa Tech Automotive advisory boards
Key Deliverables for Conference Producer, Events
Content & Production Creation
- Extensive research into the market to fully understand all sides of the ecosystem
- Deliver high-quality content and speakers for physical and digital community platforms and events
- Produce stellar event programsand digital content focusing on particular themes, driving new and exciting content as well as key themes/trends in the industry
- Develop and execute new audience outreach and engagement opportunities
- Focus on delivering a quality experience for the Automotive Tech industry
- Ensure on-time delivery of relevant event content, online content, and market analysis information for key product milestones and associated sales & marketing campaigns
- Create new, interactive features and formats that add considerable value to the events
Audience Management
- Work closely with the Informa Tech Automotive leadership team to create and execute a strategic content roadmap for our Automotive audience
- Work closely with the VIP Manager and other Content Producers and Sales partners to curate the ITAG Advisory Board and wider ITAG Audience member lists
- Manage audience engagement through a strategic programof events and content
- Provide creative input and tactical support in the delivery of new products
Relationships & Brand Awareness
- Develop and maintain other key contacts e.g. Associations, Partners, Academic Institutions, Government bodies, etc.
- Contribute to the positive public profile of Informa Tech Automotive Events
- Host networking meetings
- Host Advisory Board calls and meetings
- Develop as a thought-leader within the industry
- Build rapport at events and industry meets
Internal Stakeholder Management
- Bring together the different teams within Informa Tech Automotive Group to work together where needed to facilitate development and delivery of Community experiences
- Act as a facilitator and conduit for the Informa Tech Automotive Group Advisory Board
You will have approximately 1 year's experience in event research and production, ideally within both on-site and online formats. Ideally, you will have:
- Experience in robust research practices that can draw out new information from our audience to create new and engaging experiences
- The ability to monitor new market trends to facilitate new ideas
- An understanding of how to lead research and agenda/format development per event/activity as briefed and defined with the Director of Events
- Experience in recruiting high-quality, relevant and senior-level event speakers, and content contributors
- The desire to hold oneself and the team accountable for key event deadlines and KPIs
- A reasonable level of comfort within the digital world, from community and content marketing to 'digital first' events and experiences, with a desire to build on this experience
- A strong content-orientated background with a track record of identifying and developing new ways to reach audiences
- Experience in working within an event business and team - ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders
