Job DescriptionWhat we're looking for:
The Product Manager, a key role within our Product Management team of the NAB (North America Business) Technology and Transformation department, will embark on in-depth investigations into our industry sectors to identify customer requirements and address their obstacles with first-rate products and cutting-edge solutions that bolster Informa Markets value proposition. In collaboration with the Product, technology, and Program Solutions leadership, internal teams (marketing, sales, and commercial leadership), as well as our vendor partners, this role is instrumental in delivering strategic solutions that unify suppliers, buyers, and service providers for our industries.

Role Accountability and Duties:
Strategic Development & Execution
- Collaborate with senior leaders within the Technology & Transformation department to formulate a product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of high-impact features to the market.
- Expand the roadmap and product strategy across a diverse range of industry verticals, prioritizing revenue generation and customer experience enhancements.
- Establish marketplaces to aid businesses in discovering new products and suppliers, while assisting suppliers to promote their offerings effectively to their target audiences.
Research & Insight Gathering
- Merge a strong understanding of product management frameworks with a curiosity about various industries, their businesses, and the challenges they encounter.
- In partnership with the Research and Design teams, frequently engage with customers, both internal and external, using methods ranging from personal interviews to surveys and prototype testing, to gather insights.
- Collaborating with the Research and Design teams, synthesize these insights to derive key customer desires and needs, using this understanding to steer product strategy and decisions.
- Investigate industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor movements to inform future development.
Planning & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Set clear objectives, ensuring what is developed and rolled out is both valuable and viable.
- Utilize performance metrics and user feedback to guide the continuous enhancement of IM's products and services.
- Facilitate and lead requirements gathering with key stakeholders, translating business needs and customer drivers into detailed product requirements.
- Work closely with Scrum teams, at times taking on the Scrum Master role, to ensure effective and efficient implementation, continuous communication and fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency across multiple business and technology units.
- Manage project uncertainties, complexities, and interdependencies in an organized and structured manner.
- Collaborate on the development of documents, training presentations, and other essential go-to-market items for internal teams, ensuring successful rollout and adoption of new products and enhancements.
What you bring to the team
- 3 years of hands-on product management experience, adept at working closely with various cross-functional stakeholders.
- Expertise in creating and implementing comprehensive product roadmaps.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- In-depth understanding of agile development practices, with proven success in iterative product development culture.
- Passionate about enhancing customer experiences, complemented by strong skills in customer interviewing and needs analysis.
- High emotional intelligence, capable of forging genuine and trustworthy connections with stakeholders, influencing them without direct authority.
- Pragmatic Marketing or Product Ownership certification is advantageous, but not mandatory
