Division Information
PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.
Requisition Summary
PACCAR Information Technology Division is looking for a SAP Solution Architect to provide IT business process expertise and implement technology to enhance and/or streamline such processes. This position is responsible for defining and documenting the overall SAP application technology capabilities in support of the application lifecycle and technology planning processes. Acting in a senior technical role, the SAP Solution Architect is responsible for guiding project implementations based on SAP technology standards, group templates, and industry best practice. The SAP Solution Architect is also responsible for ensuring that standards and processes are adhered to by SAP development and implementation projects.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Lead technical architecture analysis, research, design and development of new functionality and integration with key applications and services under SAP ecosystems
- Participate in technical architecture design reviews
- Participate in the product roadmap and product strategy definition
- Guide the development team to develop, configure and implement the solution as per the product development standards to meet business requirements
- Support development team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies
- Provide architecture and design guidance to the development team
- Participate and/or lead in design sessions, demos, and prototype sessions, testing and training workshops with business users and other IT associates
- Participate in definition of SAP Cloud Strategy, including the usage of SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Integrated Business Planning, and SAP Ariba.
- Ability to stay current with SAP Cloud development best practices and standards
- Participate in the definition of SAP application migration strategy from on premise to hyper-scaler
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience architecting SAP technologies. (Sales & Distribution, Material Management, Warehouse Management, Finance)
- Experience in migrating large enterprise applications to hosted infrastructure
- Ability to translate functional specifications into technical design documents, provide estimates and deliver the desired functionality
- Maintain high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines
- Demonstrate ability to communicate both verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field required
- SAP Certification in Production Planning highly desired
