Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Pay Rate: $17.50 to 20/Hr
Duration: 6 Months
Location: New Kensington, PA
Responsibilities
- You will prepare and stage job materials in assigned manufacturing work cells or staging areas to include material presentation, support product assembly personnel, as well as assist with the rigging of material on the manufacturing floor with the use of pallet jacks, cranes, or other equipment. You will also remove and dispose of packing, scrap, material, skids, cardboard, etc. in the manufacturing area, storeroom, and receiving area as needed. You will also be responsible for:
- Housekeeping and 5S activities which include prioritizing the work area for orderliness at all times, including sweeping, dusting, and mopping as the need arises to ensure the work area is accessible and safe for internal employees and customer traffic
- Identifying discrepancies and questionable conditions related to the task and communicating to appropriate personnel.
- Assisting in clean up and breakdown of drives prior to shipment.
- Working overtime as the need arises.
- Frequent lifting of 35 pounds is required.
- Knowledge of all duties will be cross-functional but specific duties may be assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to function in a team environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Problem-solving skills
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Basic material handling experience is preferred, but not required
- Basic digital literacy preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
