Position Description | Senior Business Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Develop inventories for business functions, use cases, users, applications, data sources, and data types
- Classify sensitive documents and map them to a particular function within a program.
- Understand data domains with EA and provide guidance for data categorization.
- Use entity relationship diagram toolset to create logical data mapping models.
- Develop mapping documents or schematics to link business functions, use cases, users, applications, data sources and types, and access controls
- Develop recommendations (for potential new data sources, integration of data sources/applications, data storage options, tools/resources) to mature ENF's data management and governance program
- Develop Next Steps Roadmap data management and governance program
- Identify and inventory all of its business functions that are supported by applications and data sources
- Identify and inventory all of its uses cases for these data
- Identify and inventory all of its users of these data
- Identify and inventory all of its applications and tools that make use of these data
- Identify and inventory all of its intelligence sources, including datasets, data feeds, and other data sources, and identify all derivative data
- Identify and inventory the types and content of these data sources, including cataloging data by sensitivity level (e.g. non-public information, material non-public information, personally identifiable information (PII), sensitive PII, etc)
- Identify how the data is used, stored, managed, and integrated within the organization and its database systems
- Identify, inventory, and assess the security controls for access to data sources and applications
- Identify and map all the linkages between data sources, applications, user (types), and use cases (i.e. who is accessing what data through which applications to accomplish what use cases)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field
- At least 6 years of professional experience including project management, data analysis, process improvement, and strategic planning
- Experience working within a dynamic team environment
- Must have the ability to adjust to the fast paced and high volume with demanding deadlines work environment while thinking critically to develop innovative solutions
- Write end user documentation and quick guides
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Excel and presentation software

- Must be customer focused and possess the ability to identify issues, analyze, and interpret data and develop solutions to user problems
- Must demonstrate a strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skill set to accurately document, report, and present findings
- SOLE US citizenship
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain Public Trust Security Clearance
