The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in all or some of our practice areas and an ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively. There are opportunities for growth for the right candidate interested in elevating their practice.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyze and render opinions on complex areas of the law
- Counsel clients on risk management, business transactions, and dispute resolution.
- Handle litigation and arbitration from inception to end, including:
- Draft pleadings
- Spearhead discovery
- Research complex legal issues and recommend courses of action.
- Draft motions in a persuasive and succinct manner.
- Argue motions, including dispositive motions.
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Serve as second chair trial counsel.
- Draft and argue post-judgment motions
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including:
- Employment related agreements
- Asset purchase agreements
- Loan documents
- Corporate documents
- Real estate agreements and document
- Florida Bar license
- 3 years of relevant experience in some or all of the firm's practice areas
- Strong writing and researching skills
- Effective communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Law review/journal or moot court preferred
- Creative and outside-the-box thinker
- Detail-oriented
