What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Technician position at Infrahire?
- Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
- Provide training and guidance to Level I and II technicians.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and accurate delivery of assignments related to HVAC equipment.
- Perform maintenance of all HVAC & applied equipment.
- Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Conduct warranty service application by independently inspecting and testing systems.
- Educate customers on proper use of equipment, maintenance schedule, and operating manual.
- Lead the rebuild and retrofit of CAT I, II and III level units.
- Communicate potential sales opportunities to the sales staff.
- Responsible for the mentorship of service technician levels I and II.
- Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, product quality reports (PQR), and articles as required.
- Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times.
- Supervise Level I and II service technicians and conduct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
- Travel as required, with potential for overnight stays.
- Possess an Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
- Have 5 years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hold a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record.
- Possess state license or certifications as required by market.
- Hold an EPA approved Universal Technician Certification.
