The HR Specialist acts as the first point of contact and support for managers and employees who require HR assistance. This role is responsible for providing a timely and accurate response or properly redirecting the inquiry, to help the employee or management resolve or address various needs. Responsible for new hire orientation, facilitation, and coordination.
Responsibilities
- The HR Specialist acts as the first point of contact and support for managers and employees/contractors who require HR assistance with using or accessing HR programs and processes
- Acts as the single point of contact for HR matters including hiring, onboarding, benefits, terminations, compliance filing, training, exit interviews, employee conduct, and other employment requests and issues.
- This role is responsible for providing a timely and accurate response or properly redirecting the inquiry, to help the employee resolve or address their need
- May serve as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) or as a Single Point of Contact for a particular HR program, service, or system
- Responsible for new hire orientation facilitation and coordination
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with employee terminations
- Responsible for researching compliance issues as they arise
- Maintain continuity in format and language for all company related process and procedures
- Providing high-level administrative and systems-related support
- Maintaining accurate files and records in compliance with company, country, state, and local requirements
- Generating and tracking HR reports
- Generating and maintain employee PTO tracking
- Facilitating a high level of communication within the team, across HR, and with clients
- Interface with HR resources (SHRM) and employees/contractors while consulting with the executive team when needed for financial, operational, and legal direction.

Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively across departments and cultures
- Prior work with ADP
- Strong written and oral communication
- Highly organized
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn and navigate complete HR-supported systems and processes
- Professional training or bachelor’s degree in an area of Human Resources, Communications, or another equivalent discipline
- 2 years of HR experience in any capacity
