Employment: Full Time
Infusion Care is looking for a Nurse Practitioner with knowledge and passion in IV Infusion Therapy and Functional Medicine. Shifts are primarily days, no major holidays, or weekends. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing direct care and oversight to a wide variety of patients in an outpatient infusion setting, in addition to administration of IV Biologic Therapies. The position is also expected to provide leadership and guidance to the healthcare team.
Requirements:
o Master’s degree is required
o Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
o At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner is a must
o Thorough knowledge and understanding of protocol, procedures, and standards within the area of infusion expertise is preferred. Knowledge and passion for Functional Medicine and Aesthetics is also preferred.
o Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
Primary responsibilities will include:
o Assess new and current patients to determine if they are appropriate for infusion therapy and concur with referring providers’ orders
o Assess and treat any infusion reactions following company protocols
o Perform routine or annual history and physical examinations as needed for new patients
o Providing patient education regarding infusions as necessary
o Answer patient questions regarding therapies and side effects, in person and over the phone
o Implementing physician orders, keeping physicians abreast of their patient’s ongoing care
o Collaborate with referring physicians in developing an individualized plan of care for patients when needed
o Maintaining accurate and complete documentation
Additional responsibilities may include:
o Preparing patients for their infusions and initiating and implementing the patient care plan
o Preparing and administering medications and intravenous solutions
o Assess data and lab results on patients, discriminating between normal and abnormal findings and following up as needed
o Conducting PICC line placement, Midline placement, ultrasound guided IVs, and dressing changes
o Educating patients on chronic disease management
o Conducting and/or assisting with Functional Medicine and Aesthetic related duties
