The Role

In your role as Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for driving innovation and quality in industrial design throughout the full product development life cycle in our tightly integrated multidisciplinary teams. You will be instrumental in creating better products together with our clients, from concept through production, always applying our high-quality standards.  As a key member of the team, you will share your experience and knowledge, as well as learn from your colleagues. 

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Conducting technical feasibility studies
  • Developing products from conceptual beginnings
  • Producing product concept renders and sketches
  • Performing detailed product design in 3D CAD
  • Performing comprehensive prototype verification and managing product compliance
  • Writing specifications
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers about project matters
  • Documenting complete designs for manufacture

Minimum Criteria

The following skills and experience are required for this role:

  • Must be authorized to permanently work in United States
  • A relevant qualification from a reputable education organization (e.g. Bachelor of Industrial Design)
  • Experience with complex mechanical devices e.g. motors, gearing
  • Experience in the design of products from concept to manufacture of 3 years or more
  • A high level of experience in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks
  • Experience in product visualization and rendering using Keyshot / Photoshop or similar
  • Manufacturing experience and knowledge of a variety of production/manufacturing processes
  • Experience in communicating with local and offshore suppliers
  • Experience with rapid prototyping techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Favorable Criteria

Applicants who meet the following criteria will also be considered favorably:  

  • Experience in FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
  • Ability to sketch ideas and concepts 
  • Have designed products using plastics, metals and textiles
  • Experience in developing electronic products for space constrained, low power, high volume applications with high levels of mechanical integration
  • Have past exposure to design consulting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

We are currently working remotely, but will soon be moving into a new central Denver office location! We are looking for Colorado residents.
