The ideal candidate under moderate supervision, will be responsible for mixing, matching, and applying paint to various manufactured products while completing touchups, and coordinating painting projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capability to read and understand technical documents such as paint mixing procedures, and maintain sprayer equipment as required
- Selecting and mixing coating paints to desired color and prepare or adjust spraying equipment as needed
- Willingness to take direction from area supervisor and be a self-starter when not working under direct supervision
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Utilize correct paint equipment settings and adjustments
- Perform minor maintenance routines on paint equipment as needed
- Demonstrate proper paint application procedures
- Inspecting paint job in progress for quality problems
- Cleaning paint booth, lights, and changing filters
- Assist in keeping the paint area clean and organized
- Paint prep, cleaning and masking
- Track and record regulatory information pertaining to usage
- Willingness to cross train in other areas
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years' work-related experience
- Experience in manufacturing or related field is preferred
- Extreme attention to detail
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Requires knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in painting trade and methods of mixing paint colors
