Job Function
The Deli/Bakery Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Deli/Bakery departments. The associate works closely with the VP and Merchandisers and provides support in tasks associate with ordering, maintenance, inventory, price guides, and vendor information.
Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Respond to all correspondence in a prompt and courteous manner
- Provide excellent customer service
- Prepare Deli/Bakery ads weekly and send to stores
- Create purchase orders and ensure they are sent to the applicable vendors and manufacturers
- Verify trucks are received and dates on products are within set guidelines
- Allocate any close dated product to stores
- Prepare weekly price changes and bill backs for ads, etc
- Create and distribute order books and price books to all stores once a month
- Distribute weekly movement reports to buyers, VPs, and other applicable personnel
- Review Deli/Bakery portion of circular add sample each week for advertising
- Process scan movements as needed
- Respond to correspondence concerning DSD service issues, customer requests, customer complaints, appointment requests, etc
- Research, address, and fix incorrect retails, zones, locations and tag problems
- Observe all company rules and policies
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations
- Perform all other duties and assignments as directed
