We are a small, fast-paced Elder Law firm based in the Village of Williamsville seeking a self-motivated Legal Assistant with experience in Tax, Trusts, Estates and/or Elder Law. The successful candidate will have a positive and professional demeanor as well as experience working in a legal or business setting.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects at hand.
- Able to organize and manage large amounts of files, tasks, schedules, and confidential information.
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Google Calendar.
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, numerate and literate.
- College degree.
Preferred:
- Experience in the administration of trusts and estates at various life-cycle stages.
- Strong Real Property skills, specifically preparing/recording deeds, and transfer tax forms a plus.
- Notary license.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparing letters and other documents for Attorney review.
- Scanning and filing of electronic and paper-based documents in cloud storage and NYS Court System.
- Support attorneys with calendar management and meeting arrangements.
- Participate in client document execution and ceremonies.
- Maintain a proactive role in implementing firm-wide best practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
