Senior Flooring Sales Professional

As In House Carpet One continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled Sales professional at our store located in Ontario, Oregon.

We need a self-motivated and detail-oriented sales person with at least 5 yrs. experience in sales and one or more of the following areas:

• Flooring covering sales
• Interior Design with knowledge/experience in floor coverings
• Home building or remodeling industry with emphasis in flooring installation

This is an inside sales position selling flooring and tile to retail customers with terrific growth potential. The position requires interacting with customers and assisting them with product choices according to their individual needs. Whether that interaction occurs in our showroom or in the community, the objective is always to provide advice that will make the customers' buying decision easier.

• Promote and sell products/services to prospective customers
• Keep up-to-date on the wide selection of products we have to offer along with the benefits and warranties
• Follow up in a timely and professional manner with all customers on requests and/or concerns
• Write sales orders
• Follow-up with customer on the completion of each job
• Network regularly, and work effectively, with other store employees
• Use computer database to research the availability of merchandise and to process orders
• Passionate about providing outstanding customer service
• Execute targeted sales strategies

The ideal candidate must be:

• Capable to undergo extensive product and sales training.
• A self-starter.
• Personally well-organized.
• Willing to create new business.
• Able to provide outstanding customer service.
• Able to provide exceptional follow-up.
• Must have access to reliable transportation in order to get to work, and to visit customers' home (as necessary)

Preferred additional qualifications include:

• Experience with interior design
• Some college is preferred, but not necessary
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs and a willingness to learn our operating system
