The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional with a background in corporate tax to join the Group Tax Team of a growing global healthcare services provider that partners with health and life sciences companies to provide go to market solutions across the product lifecycle in all therapeutic categories.
Reporting to the US Tax Manager, the US Tax Accountant will manage the preparation of federal and state tax returns, tax account provisioning and tax research projects.
This permanent full-time role is based in Pennsylvania where we offer Dynamic Working. This is a framework which creates a hybrid working approach to help our people maintain a healthy work life balance. Our main PA offices are located in Yardley and Fort Washington. We are open to applications on a remote work from home basis as well.
Here's what you'll do:
- Prepare consolidated federal and state corporate income tax returns, extensions, estimates/forecasts and supporting documentation.
- Prepare the year-end US current and deferred tax account provisions (and review of quarterly tax accounting), which includes preparing tax basis balance sheet with book & tax basis difference analysis and deferred tax proof, and collaborating with external auditors.
- Respond to federal, state and local tax notices and managing federal, state and local tax audits and examinations.
- Perform tax research, consulting, and other tax projects to support US Tax Team and US businesses.
- Support systems improvement projects to gain efficiencies in our tax processes.
- Keep up to date with legislative developments and ensuring possible effects of changes are addressed.
What do you bring to the role?
- Strong organisational skills, ability of working to tight deadlines, dealing with ambiguity and balancing competing priorities.
- Strong IT skills. Experience working with corporate tax compliance software (CorpTax/Caseware) and financial reporting systems (Oracle/TRCS).
- Excel in a complex environment.
- A team player and able to influence across teams to achieve success
- BS degree in accounting or finance
- CPA an advantage.
- Must have 1 years’ relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or a multinational company with federal and multi-state income tax compliance experience.
