Position Overview:
Hiring Immediately - Full-Time Caregiver & Med-Tech Position!
2nd Shift Needed and Weekends!

Responsibilities and Duties
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families as you provide assistance with activities of daily living
- Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders
- Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following community and regulatory guidelines
- Report any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors
- Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents and observations
- Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
- Follow the schedule of resident's needs set out by supervisor- document daily log of assistance.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents.
- Support the dining staff and possibly assist in the dining room, possibly assist with laundry needs of the community or residents.
- Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents, respect residents' confidentiality.
- Be familiar and comfortable with emergency equipment and procedures.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the Community.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Two-three years of Caregiver or Med Tech experience is required
- Experience working with the elderly and those with memory impairment
- Certified Medication Technician required
- CPR & AER Certified preferred, or must become certified within 90 days of hire
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently and 40 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair or shower chair, pushing up to 150 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be able to transfer, lift, turn and position a resident weighing up to 125 lbs. unassisted, or with the assistance of one for a resident weighing over 125 lbs.
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
