What are the responsibilities and job description for the Help Desk Analyst position at Innophos?
This individual is responsible for supporting IT Help Desk Operations in Cranbury and East Hanover locations in NJ. Job responsibilities include rolling out new hardware, help with software installation, troubleshooting login issues, maintaining and managing the network stability, security and reliability and working with support engineers at other facilities in analyzing products/services and recommend use of new products and services to IT management and ensure that appropriate policies and procedures to support IT operations are established and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports and configures several critical areas including but not limited to:
- Deploy new laptops/desktops and configure network and VPN profiles
- Help with issues from VOIP services and mobile devices
- Software installs including Microsoft Products, Adobe etc.
- Fix issues with printers and fax devices working with external vendors
- Familiarity with Microsoft cloud, on-premises IT service development and maintenance
- Coordinate with external helpdesk (Cerberus)
- Good knowledge of LAN – Local Area Network
- Familiarity in Server infrastructure (Windows / Linux)
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Services, or other related field of study
- 3 or more years of progressive experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in helpdesk management
- Knowledge on Service Desk is recommended
- Solid understanding of File Protocols
- Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations
- Must have understanding of the business environment, IS infrastructure, and computer operations
- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to technical infrastructure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding
- Flexible with the ability to work out-of-hours as needed
