Position type: Full-time - Contract
Duration: 12 Months plus
Location: Hybrid - Kennesaw, GA
No Corp to Corp. W2 contractors only please.
As a Release Manager, you will:
Release Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive release calendar, coordinating with various teams to align release schedules.
- Lead release planning meetings and manage the release process from development through to production deployment.
Deployment Management:
- Oversee the deployment of software releases, patches, and updates, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Implement and manage release deployment pipelines and automation tools.
Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of releases.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with releases, ensuring compliance with internal policies and standards.
- **Communication and Stakeholder Management:**
- Serve as the primary point of contact for release-related activities, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between development, QA, operations, and business teams.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve release management processes and tools.
- Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance release efficiency and reliability.
Incident Management:
- Manage and resolve release-related incidents, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal impact on services.
- Conduct post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement and document lessons learned.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management processes.
- Experience with deployment automation tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Industry Knowledge:
- Extensive experience in payments and merchant services or a similar financial services domain.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the banking industry.
Project Management:
- Proven ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Communication and Leadership:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional teams towards common goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in release management or a similar role.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Agile) are a plus.

Pay Range*: $60- $62 per hour on W2
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
