Position Overview

Reporting to the Director Product Development. The Product Owner is responsible for leading the customer, operational, and financial objectives for IPA’s new software customer migrations and implementations. This role requires experience with software release management, software project management, team management, and quality focused delivery. It is a key role to the successful roll-out of IPA’s next generation software solution and will be expected to partner with functional areas across the Company to ensure success of our customer and the business. You will be responsible for planning and leading cross-functional teams; create and instruct standard project plans for customer on-boarding; and ensure timely implementation plans to achieve company financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Own the success of all aspects of the roll-out of IPA’s New Software solution
  • Quickly build relationships with internal team members
  • Coordinate internal team members through Alpha, Beta, and GA roll-outs
  • Monitor resource allocation and identify if more or less is needed
  • Plan for and lead regularly-scheduled, efficient meetings to focus project tasks
  • Identify and remove obstacles hindering an optimal roll-out
  • Optimize process and performance
  • Provide insight into valuable KPIs to measure the success of each customer roll-out
  • Identify risks / blind spots / issues and recommend remediation / mitigation plans
  • Appropriately escalate issues
  • Regularly communicate progress with internal stakeholders via reports, presentations, infographics, etc. as needed
  • Clearly identify and document opportunities for improvement with each roll-out experience
  • Establish and leave in place relevant templates, processes and tools to support the continued efforts of the program and team
  • Ability to think strategically with regards to staged roll-out plan


Essential Job Functions and Basic Duties

  • Responsible for designing, establishing, training, communicating, and enforcing methodologies, tools, policies, and practices to support on-time, within budget and quality customer focused delivery
  • Enhance/modify methodology to improve the repeatability and predictability of SW implementation services; drive continuous improvement in business operations by initiating change and creating an environment that is conducive to change
  • Measure and monitor customer satisfaction through Implementation experience; conduct post implementation reviews to obtain feedback, lessons learned, and incorporate enhancements into the overall implementation methodology
  • Ensure effective working relationship between IPA’s cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of the Company’s operations and management
  • Thorough understanding of IPA products, related technologies, and IPA’s process
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Adhere to established security safeguards, procedures and all other applicable company and regulatory policies
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelors degree in relevant field – HIGHLY PERFERRED
  • 6 years of Software Project Management
  • 6 years of Experience in a SW and SW delivery/implementation role
  • Direct experience with successful NPI software product roll-out management / launches on aggressive schedules
  • Must have demonstrated success in leading large-scale projects to completion.


Required Knowledge:


  • Excellent MS skills such as Excel, Work, Outlook, and MS Project or other document management systems.
  • Strong problem solving


Skills/Abilities:


  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the Company.
  • Ability to generate reports.
  • Ability to prioritize among multiple workstreams.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect an ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with attention to detail.

  • Project management: Identify best-in-class tools to support roll-out activities
  • Tracking: JIRA
  • Documentation: Confluence
  • MS Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel


Preferred Certifications:


  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, CSM, etc.)


Physical Requirements

  • Visual and hearing acuity to perform job-related functions.
  • Ability to be in a seated position for a minimum of eight hours per day.
  • Frequently required to use their hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Should be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
