Innovative Services NW Job Description
Job Title: Part Time Janitor
SUMMARY: Perform janitorial duties as established by the organization at Innovative Services NW’s main facility. Keep all organizational information confidential. Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
o Perform janitorial job tasks that are required by the program or customer contract specifications.
o Job tasks include but are not limited to restroom cleaning, trash and recycling removal, dusting, polishing, floor mopping, vacuuming, carpet spotting, general touch-up cleaning and interior hallway windows and door lights.
o Follow all organizational / program policies and procedures. o Record daily work on EWS timecard system and submit time bi-weekly
o Ensure safety measures are met according to the program, organization, state and federal laws.
o Report all work related accidents and incidents immediately to a supervisor.
o Complete and submit all required paperwork, reports and schedules in established time frames.
o Keep inventory of needed supplies as assigned; notify supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
o Maintain equipment in good clean working condition and report repair needs to supervisor.
o Maintain Site Logbook that contains information and forms required by the organization. o Communicate with supervisor when damage, incidents and unusual events occur.
o Attend all staff meetings, in-service training, and other events as requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Coordinates with other onsite janitorial staff.
WORK ENVIROMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment, early learning center, and pediatric therapy clinic. While cleaning, they may come into contact with contagious illnesses and bodily fluids. This role routinely comes in contact with loud machinery.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employee will occasionally need to move and lift objects up to 40 lbs.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a .38 FTE, 15 hours a week position and hours of work and days are
Monday through Friday 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Occasional flexibility in hours may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL: No travel requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION(S) AND EXPEREIENCE o Must be able to pass any customer/organizational background checks, as required. o Must be able to physically perform a variety of janitorial tasks. o Must be able to keep accurate records and reports. o Should have a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance. o Should have two years previous experience in building service maintenance, janitorial or housekeeping.
